The IDS Center is one of the tallest buildings in downtown Minneapolis.  Broadcast Services, Inc. worked closely with an architectural firm and developers to add two 110-foot broadcast poles after the building’s completion.  The site accommodates a variety of two-way, microwave, television and FM broadcast communications equipment.  Common areas for telecommunications systems have been allocated on 51A and 51B.  Standby electrical power facilities for transmitter plants can be appropriately located within the building.
